Very Short Introductions

Very Short Introductions (VSI) on Oxford University Pressin kustantama kirjasarja, jonka aihealueisiin kuuluvat taide, kulttuuri, politiikka, oikeustiede, historia, luonnontieteet, filosofia ja uskonnot. Ensimmäiset kirjat ilmestyivät vuoden 2000 alussa ja vuoden 2008 loppuun mennessä kirjasarja oli laajentunut 199 osaan. Kirjasarjan julkaisut ovat laajuudeltaan korkeintaan 200 sivun mittaisia. Kirjojen tarkoituksena on esitellä aihe lyhyesti olennaisin osin. Kirjoja on käännetty 25 eri kielelle ja niitä on käytetty runsaasti yliopistojen alkeiskursseilla oppimateriaalina.

Art House -kirjankustantamo aloitti vuonna 2017 sarjan julkaisemisen suomeksi nimellä Lyhyet johdatukset. Vuonna 2017 ilmestyy kolme käännöskirjaa.
