Marjorie Grene

Marjorie Grene vuonna 1983.

Marjorie Glicksman Grene (13. joulukuuta 1910 – 16. maaliskuuta 2009) oli yhdysvaltalainen filosofi. Hän kirjoitti ennen kaikkea eksistentialismista ja tieteenfilosofiasta, erityisesti biologian filosofiasta. Vuodesta 2005 hän oli Virginia Tech -yliopiston filosofian emeritaprofessori.

Grene valmistui alun perin eläintieteestä Wellesley Collegesta. Hän väitteli filosofian tohtoriksi Harvardin yliopistosta (Radcliffe College).

Grene opiskeli Saksassa Martin Heideggerin ja Karl Jaspersin kanssa, ja jätti Saksan vuonna 1933. Hän oli Tanskassa vuonna 1935, ja toimi tämän jälkeen Chicagon yliopistossa. Menetettyään virkansa siellä toisen maailmansodan jälkeen hän vietti 15 vuotta kotiäitinä ja maanviljelijänä.
