Tämä nettilähde antaa ymmärtää että torpedosukeltajat kuuluivat Gamma-ryhmään, toisin kuin artikkeli. --Riisipuuro 20. heinäkuuta 2008 kello 21.27 (UTC)--

Se varsinainen yksikkö johon sukeltajat kuuluivat oli Decima Flottiglia MAS.

Enwikin mukaan:

"In 1941, Commander Vittorio Moccagatta reorganised the First Flotilla into the Decima Flottiglia MAS, and divided the unit into two parts - a surface group operating fast explosive motor boats, and a sub-surface weapons group using manned torpedoes, as well as "Gamma" assault swimmers (nuotatori) using limpet mines."

Tämä sivu kertoo:

"During the same period, the Navy was experimenting with new scuba equipment at the naval base of La Spezia. Several techniques were studied and improved. One called for the scuba-equipped men, later to be named the "gamma", to leave a submerged submarine and attack enemy vessels. Also, a "marching" version of the same technique was studied, with the "gamma" actually walking the bottom of the sea up to the keel of the enemy vessels. Naturally, these actions were to take place in the proximity of an enemy port."

Ja tämänkin mukaan jako oli:

• Underwater Operations Group - käsittääkseni nämä sukellustorpedomiehet
• "Gamma" Group (assault swimmers) - eli erikseen uivat miinamiehet
