There are many species closely resembling this photograph, and they all come from northern South America. Corydoras is a quaint little fish and very well adapted to life in the aquarium. Principally a ground-feeder, it is regarded as something of an aquarium scavenger Quite harmless. Breeding habits, page 237 (No. 3).
